Why is GENI doing this work?

The GENI Initiative has it's origins from The World Game simulation developed by Dr. R. Buckminster Fuller in 1969. Stated as the opposite of war games, this investigation posed the following question:

How do we make the world work for 100% of humanity in the shortest possible time through spontaneous cooperation without ecological damage or disadvantage to anyone?

This research identified a premier global strategy – a global electric energy grid tapping abundant renewable energy resources.
